I just remembered that the 2009 World Top University Ranking is now out. So I checked it out and boom we suck(not the Philippines but DLSU)!!  Here’s the rank of our local universities:

1. Ateneo De Manila = 234th

2. University of the Philippines = 262nd

3. De La Suck Salle University = 400-500 (Just choose whatever number you want first come first serve)

4. University of Santo Tomas = 500-600

For the 2nd straight year Ateneo grabbed the first place among it’s local competitors and they keep on getting better and better. No wonder I never hear any good news about lasalle these days, everyone featured in magazines and newspapers came from Areneo. Sucks.

Ateneo jumped from 254 last year to 234 this year that’s beating 20 universities world wide. UP on the other hand jumped from 276 last year to 262 that’s 14 universities not bad but much better than DLSU which remained at the unknown land of 400-500 for the 2nd straight year. SHEESH!!

A quick recap for all Lasallians the only time we were able to  beat Ateneo was on 2006, we’re at 392 they’re at 484. then we fell to 519 and Ateneo jumped to 451 on 2007. Last year we sucked and Ateneo beat UP on the top spot. This year Ateneo made us eat dust.

Jeez I just hope I didn’t made the mistake of choosing DLSU. Maybe we’ll improve next year. Just hoping.
